Hawthorne Educational Services, Inc., is offering educators the opportunity to earn money by participating in a national data collection project. Data is currently being gathered to update the norms for the Adaptive Behavior Evaluation Scale–Third Edition (ABES-3) and the Gifted Evaluation Scale–Fourth Edition (GES-4). Your participation is needed to ensure that the demographics for these instruments mirror the demographics of the 2020 census of the United States.
Hawthorne will pay $5.00 for each properly completed form submitted by March 31, 2027. All data collection is completed through Hawthorne's secure online portal. The data collected will be combined with data from other teachers rating students to establish national norms. All information remains completely confidential and is only reported by groups (e.g., grade, age, gender).
Complete the short form below to tell us you're interested in participating. Important: the email address you provide must be the same one you use to sign up for the online data collection portal.
Hawthorne's data collection team reviews your submission and emails you an invitation to the online data collection portal.
Rate students through the portal, which shows which age groups still need participants and guides you through each form. Minimums apply per age group selected: 10 sets (20 total forms — 10 school and 10 home) for the ABES-3, and 10 school forms for the GES-4.
Receive $5.00 for each properly completed form submitted by March 31, 2027. Payment can be made by check, Zelle, or Venmo. A completed IRS Form W-9 may be required for tax reporting purposes before payment is issued.
Hawthorne's data collection team will review your submission. Because this is a limited participation project filled on a first-come, first-served basis, you will receive an email invitation to the online data collection portal.
